Red Bank Catholic opened its season with a 56-43 victory over Hazelton Area (PA) in the Electric City Madness tournament in Red Bank. Addy Nyemchek led the way for Red Bank Catholic, scoring a game-high 28 points.
Red Bank Catholic started strong, outscoring Hazelton Area (PA) 17-10 in the first quarter and 19-10 in the second to take a 36-20 lead into halftime.
Hazelton Area (PA) fought back in the third quarter, outscoring Red Bank Catholic 13-6 to cut the deficit to 42-33 heading into the fourth. But Red Bank Catholic closed out the game strong, outscoring Hazelton Area (PA) 14-10 in the final frame.
Katie Liggio added 15 points for Red Bank Catholic.
Alexis Reimold led Hazelton Area with 16 points, while Sophia Benyo added 10 points.
