JACKIE VAN LEW
RED BANK CATHOLIC, Class of 2015
Van Lew was one of the premier swimmers to suit up for Red Bank Catholic in the last decade. She was a consistent point-scorer and team leader. She was a member of the Shore Conference record-holding 400 freestyle relay team (3:35.18), which was accomplished on Feb. 2, 2013. Her versatility was unmatched during her career. As a senior she won the Shore Conference title in the 200 individual medley (2:09.84), the Monmouth County title in the 500 freestyle (5:04.34) and the Shore Conference title in the 500 freestyle (5:06.21). She was named the Most Outstanding Swimmer at the Monmouth County championship meet in 2015, which was won by the Caseys. During that same meet, Van Lew was a member of the 400 freestyle relay unit that set the meet record that season (3:33.46) and she was a member of the 200 freestyle relay unit that set the meet record that season (1:38.57). During her career, Van Lew set eight swimming records and was a 10-time combined Shore Conference and Monmouth County Champion. Van Lew swam for the University of Connecticut.
