1997 Red Bank Catholic (22-3)

Red Bank Catholic won its first state championship in thrilling fashion with a walk-off 1-0 victory in 12 innings against St. Mary’s in the Parochial B championship game. Stephanie Roselle scored the game-winning run after a throw to third was misplayed on Roselle’s tag up as she proceeded to race home. Pitcher Kim Lombardi, currently the head coach of St. John Vianney, allowed just six hits and two walks in the complete game shutout.
The Caseys finished the year with a school-record 22 wins.

2005 Red Bank Catholic (22-7)

Winners of 15 of their final 16 games, the Caseys caught fire at the end of the year and dispatched St. John Vianney 5-2 in the Non-Public South A final, after falling 10-0 to the Lancers in the Shore Conference Tournament final, before capturing their first group title in nearly 10 years with a 3-0 shutout against Mount St. Dominic.

Red Bank Catholic relied upon the stellar two-headed pitching attack of Natalie Cruz and Jackie Battaglino. Cruz went 14-5 with a 0.94 ERA and while playing shortstop, batted .381.

2008 Red Bank Catholic (26-2)

With two-time Gatorade New Jersey Player of the year Brittany O’Donnell in the circle, Red Bank Catholic won its second group title in four years with a 1-0 victory over Immaculate Heart in the Non-Public A final. O’Donnell spun the complete game shutout with seven strikeouts. The Caseys scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a Jess Long sacrifice fly. Long, a catcher, also had her feet taken out and head hit the ground by a slide but held on to the ball to make the out at home and preserve a scoreless tie in the top half of the inning.

O’Donnell threw 11 no-hitters, two perfect games and 23 shutouts. She went 25-2 with 353 strikeouts and a 0.12 ERA.
