Red Bank Catholic is pleased to introduce new Field Hockey Head Coach Niki Ikeda and Assistant Coach Makayla Pak. Coach Ikeda steps into this role after serving four years as an assistant under former Caseys Head Coach Megan Pietrunti. Pietrunti is stepping down after nine years at RBC.

Ikeda played field hockey at Fairleigh Dickinson University. During her four years, she accrued many accolades including Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year, four-time First Team All Freedom Conference, Freedom Conference Offensive Player of the Year, and NFHCA Second Team All-American. She is currently ranked third in game-winning goals in a single season, ranked fourth in game-winning goals for her career, and ranked fourth in career defensive saves.

Niki is thrilled to continue to be a part of the RBC field hockey program. She hopes to build on the team’s previous successes and continue their tradition of greatness.

Ikeda will be joined by new assistant coach Makayla Pak, also a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University where she was a member of the Women’s Field Hockey team. During her four years she was Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year, 3-time First Team All Freedom Conference, Female Scholar Athlete of the Year, Freedom Conference Defensive Player of the Year, NFHCA Second Team All American, and FDU’s
Woman of the Year.

Pak is excited to become part of the Casey community and make a positive impact on the
program! She is bringing both her knowledge and love of the game to this position and cannot
wait to get started. She is looking forward to a successful year and to take part in the great
traditions the team holds.
