Red Bank Catholic senior defender Aubrey Silverman delivered the defining moment in Wednesday's showdown with visiting Bridgewater-Raritan.
Silverman scored in the 57th minute on a pass from sophomore forward Noel Pauwels as the Caseys held on for a 1-0 non conference win over the Panthers at Count Basie Field in Red Bank.
It was Silverman's third goal of the year and Pauwels fourth assist of the season. Junior goalie Cleo Grignard stopped seven shots to record her fourth straight shutout. Red Bank Catholic outshot Bridgewater-Raritan, 18-7.
Bridgewater-Raritan goalie Maggie Ousouljoglou made 17 saves.
