APP Announces All Shore Football Awards

First Team Defense

JAKE LOURO

Year: Senior

Position: Defensive line.

The 6-foot-2, 280-pound Louro, along with Bauman, led one of the Shore's best defensive lines. A repeat All-Shore selection, Louro had 37 tackles, 12 of which were for a loss, including one for a safety, four sacks and nine quarterback hurries from the nose guard position in six games.

ANTHONY BORRIELLO

Year: Senior

Position: Defensive back

Borriello was a valuable two-way player for a Red Bank Catholic team that finished No. 3 in the Asbury Park Press Shore Conference Top 10 and went 4-2 and was in the Shore Conference's Super Pod. A safety on defense, Borriello had 27 tackles, an interceptions, three passes defensed and caused a fumble. As a quarterback, he threw for 703 yards and six TDs and rushed for 205 yards on 44 attempts and a TD.


First Team Offense


ALEX BAUMAN

Year: Junior

Position: Tight end

The younger brother of Notre Dame freshman tight end Kevin Bauman, Bauman had 16 receptions for 267 yards in six games and was an outstanding blocker. He also was a standout player on defense. He had 58 tackles, six sacks, 14 tackles for a loss, one of which resulted in a safety and 14 quarterback hurries. Bauman has received collegiate scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Rutgers, Wake Forest and Coastal Carolina, among others.
